Personal/Individual fireworks are illegal in Plumas County. That includes Chester and the Lake Almanor Basin.
The Chamber of Commerce usually puts on a fireworks show on the end of the Peninsula. However because of high water levels there will be no show this July 4th. It will be Labor Day weekend instead. Susanville will be having a fireworks show at the fairgrounds Thursday night.
