With fire season approaching we need to think about how fire prepared is our home and yard.  We need defensible space to proctect our homes.  In the first 30 feet out from our structure there should be no dead or dying debris.  There should not be any grasses, shrubs or trees that are touching our structure.  There shoucld not be any grasses, shrubs, trees or fences that create a ladder to larger fuels such as a large tree or structure.  For more information on defensible space please go to www.firewise.org or come by the station.
